Raised in the trade
Rush began with Bill, who grew up with tools in his hands. His father was a preacher who also worked as a plumber and an electrician, and he raised his kids on a simple idea: honest work, done right, is its own reward. Bill learned the trade the hard way, working alongside family, and finished it off at trade school. What his dad taught him stuck, and it is still the whole job to this day.
He started his own plumbing company in California in the mid 90s. Over the years he grew Rush into two locations, one in Southern California and one in the north, and built a real crew and a fleet of trucks while he was still young. It was a long way from a single van, and every bit of it was built on the same promise: show up, tell people the truth, and stand behind the work.
In 2020 he brought his family to Texas, looking for the same thing a lot of people come here for: room to raise a family, and a place that still values a handshake. Texas felt like the American dream with the family values to match, a state worth unclogging. He put the truck back on the road as Rush Plumbing & Air, and added heating and cooling so one crew you trust can keep a whole home running.
It is still run the same way today. When you call Rush you get a real family business, not a call center, and the promise Bill started with: we show you the real problem, we tell you straight, and we do it right the first time.
Veterans name the price
Through our Veterans Name the Price program, veterans pay only the cost of the part and decide for themselves what the labor was worth. It is our way of thanking the people who served, and it runs year round.
