How Veterans Name the Price works

A plain-English walkthrough of the program built for veterans across Fort Worth and North DFW.

Veterans Name the Price is simple: if you served, you pay only Rush Plumbing & Air's documented cost for the part, with no markup, and then you decide what the labor was worth. That can be a hundred dollars or a handshake. It is not a discount and not a coupon. It is a different way of settling the bill, built on respect for your service. See the full program here.

The three steps

Every Veterans Name the Price job follows the same path, whether it is a scheduled repair or a 2 a.m. emergency.

  1. Tell us you served when you call. Book any residential job and mention you are a veteran. Nothing else changes about how fast we respond.
  2. You pay our cost for the part. We show you the documented cost of the part with no markup added.
  3. You name the labor. After the work is done, you decide what the labor was worth to you.

Why we do it this way instead of a percentage discount

Most trades offer a flat military or veteran discount, often around 10 percent. That is a kind gesture, but on a small job it adds up to very little, and on a big job the company still sets the price. Veterans Name the Price flips that. You are never marked up on parts, and the labor is genuinely your call. For a lot of veterans, that ends up being a far better deal than 10 percent off a marked-up invoice.

Same work, same guarantee. You get the exact same licensed plumbing, the same 24/7 emergency response, the same camera-first honesty, and the same one-year workmanship guarantee as any other customer. The only thing that changes is how the bill works.

What jobs qualify?

The program applies to residential and emergency plumbing across our North DFW service area: drain cleaning, water heater repair and replacement, leak detection, slab leak repair, trenchless sewer, and repiping. It runs year round, not just around Veterans Day, and it is open to individual veterans and to VFW posts throughout the area. If your post wants us to come explain it in person, we will.

Common questions

Is Veterans Name the Price really free labor?
Not exactly. You always pay Rush Plumbing & Air's documented cost for the part, with no markup, and the labor is what you decide it was worth after the job is done. Some veterans pay a fair labor rate, some pay less, and we honor whatever you decide, with no minimum and no pressure to hit a set number. This is not a percentage discount or a coupon; it is a different way of settling the bill, built on respect for your service. It runs year round across North DFW and now applies to both plumbing and HVAC jobs, including 2 a.m. emergencies. The work never changes: the same licensed crew, 24/7 response, camera-first diagnosis, and one-year workmanship guarantee as any customer. Call (469) 813-7100 and mention you served, and we will show you exactly what the part cost us before any labor conversation.
Do I need to prove I am a veteran?
No paperwork is required. Just mention you served when you call (469) 813-7100 or when the technician arrives at your door. The program runs on trust and respect, the same way you served, so there is no form, no ID check, and no discharge document to dig up. It is open to veterans across Fort Worth, Arlington, Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Keller, Denton, and the rest of North DFW, and it runs year round rather than only around Veterans Day. It now covers both plumbing and HVAC work, on scheduled repairs and after-hours emergencies alike. Once you have mentioned your service, you pay only Rush Plumbing & Air's documented cost for the part, with no markup, and you decide what the labor was worth. The same licensed work, 24/7 response, and one-year workmanship guarantee apply exactly as they would for any customer.
Does the quality of work change under this program?
No. You get the identical licensed work, 24/7 emergency response, camera-first diagnosis, and one-year workmanship guarantee as any other customer. Veterans Name the Price only changes how the bill is settled, never the standard of the work itself. The same trained crew shows up in the same trucks with the same parts and the same code-compliant installation, whether you are a veteran or not. Because Rush Plumbing & Air now runs both plumbing and HVAC with one licensed, insured crew, the program covers a clogged drain, a slab leak, a dead AC, and a no-heat furnace call the same way. You still pay only our documented cost for the part, with no markup, and you still decide what the labor was worth. There is no cut corner and no lesser tier of service. Call (469) 813-7100 and mention you served to get started.
